When I was young, I thought you needed to know just about everything to produce good writing. I don’t know if knowing a little about the evolution of cuttlefish or a smidge about China-Africa trade relations makes my writing any better, but being open to finding the weird nuances has always given me a good place to start.

I’m happiest when I’m learning new things, coming home to a toasty room, and talking about the importance of rail infrastructure.
